Red Sea Afar Protest People Protest For Afar Triangle Motherland Series. Free Ahmed Ali Harsa and Mafara Mohamed Laale

On 06 September 2016, Ethiopian Justice adjourned the trial of our compatriot AHMED Ali Harsa, by a month and twenty days (50 days). His trial was to take place on October 26, 2016.


Today, we are on November 14th. More than 19 days after the date promised by the Ethiopian Justice, there is still no trial on the horizon for our compatriot. 663 days in detention, under permanente solitary confinement, deprived of all basic rights and deprived of any family visit.


We all know that Ahmed Ali Harsa is languishing in Ethiopian prisons unfairly. His only crime was to have wanted to earn a living in order to meet his needs and that of his family (a wife and Ten children). The two mafia in Djibouti and Ethiopia are behind his imprisonment for a crapulous reason.


Ethnic clientelism in both countries by Issas in Djibouti and Tigrenya in Ethiopia does not tolerate any competition from other ethnic groups in the two countries.


For them any economic competition from others must be crushed. The other communities must remain in economic poverty to exercise their domination.


The Djiboutian and Ethiopian authorities are complicite in his arrest. There is nothing fortuitous in his incarceration.


The Djibouti Government is not going to lift the small thumb to help him. An Afar who wants to rise from poverty and set himself economically is dangerous for Ismail Omar Guelleh, Issa Governement. So to deter other they let languish in Prison without trial 663 days Ethiopian.


We urge the Ethiopian Government to put an end to our compatriot's ordeal. We demand they Free the Afar female poet Mafara Mohamed Laale imprisoned by the TPLF regime for denouncing the Woyane regime in her lyrics.
