1,000 arrested this month after violence: Ethiopia mayor

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia — One thousand people have been arrested this month after violence linked to protests led to the burning of factories and vehicles, the mayor of a town just outside Ethiopia’s capital said Tuesday.
